| 1981-present | Established Seagate first as a small fishing company and processor which became a major natural health foods manufacturer. This work included building and constructing the plant and equipment, setting up the farm and running the fishing operations. This work now includes distribution of Seagate productsthroughout the U.S. health food industry, in select mass-market chain-stores and in overseas markets and the continued development of new and unique products from Seagate’s raw materials. | |
| Public Service: | 1985-94 | Helped organize cooperation between U.S. and Mexican enforcement agencies. |
| 1989-94 | Organized a joint task force between U.S. Customs and the State of Baja California, in Mexico to investigate and prosecute a Los Angeles, CA based battery company that was dumping toxic lead wastes (5,000 tons) in Tijuana. This lead to the arrest of 2 corporate officers and the establishment of the first international superfund ($5 million) to clean up the toxic waste site. | |
| 1990-94 | Helped organize the detection sites by Tijuana municipal authorities to capture, and identify toxic dumping into their sewer system by foreign-owned maquiladora factories that were set up in that city to avoid the costs of hazardous waste disposal in the U.S. | |

Rich, great job building your business. We all miss you back here in NYC; I am still suffering with allergies. What do you recomend?
Richard responds - Hello Ira. Perhaps if you were not a Jets fan, you would not be suffering. Good to hear from you — Richard

What supplements do you recommend for a type I diabetic?
Richard replies - Hello Rob - We are not allowed to recommend our supplements to treat a disease nor can we offer medical advice. However, I can say that if I had this condition, I would use the shark cartilage and very closely monitor my blood sugar levels while I was taking it.
